AVIC U310BT POI vs AVIC download POI's

Is it possible to download POI's for the AVIC U310BT and have them respond the same as the POI's you would buy for $99? For instants, If I'm in San Francisco and want to look for a restaurant that is close to my location. All I would do is to push POI, select Restaurant and a list of restaurants close to my location.

I found this in the POIfriend FAQ section. If you have a PIONEER AVIC-Fxxx series model, you will need the AVIC Feeds software found here:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/Navigation/Downloads/Download+AVIC+FEEDS (1. use the zip file option to download both the KML data file and jpeg POI icon -- 2. unzip and use AVIC Feeds to import the KML and icon image -- 3. AVIC Feeds will format the data so it can be accessed by the navigation unit and saves onto an SD/USB memory device -- 4. plug the SD/USB in to the navigation unit to use your custom POIs). The AVIC-Fxxx series allows up to 1000 POIs in each file, so larger POI files will be limited to the 1000 closest to your current designated POIfriend location.
And then I googled the Pioneer, found the owners manual online and for the AVIC U310B and page 40 describes how to find the downloaded pois on your SD card.

Yes, however when you go to the AVIC Feeds, it lists whatever POI's you have entered. It's not like locating something near you. It doesn't even tell you the distance the POI's are from you. Probably because the POI's are listed by US & Canada, not by state or city.
A little disappointing.

Thanks PurpleMe. I am only a couple days old to the GPS world and you broke in down in the best English I've seen yet.
